Attorney Zhao Made Speech at Macau Symposium on the1980 and 1996 Hague Conventions
The Hague Conference on Private International Law, through its Asia Pacific Regional Office hosted the event to be known as“Towards the Well- Being of the Child Through the Hague Child Abduction and Protection of Children Conventions: An Asia Pacific Symposium”. The event took place on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June 2015 at the Macau Science Centre, MacauSAR, China.
Attorney Zhao Ningning was invited to speak atthe Symposium.
The event was being jointly sponsored by the Law Reform and International Law Bureau of the Macau SAR, the Department of Justiceof the Hong Kong SAR, and the Hague Conference.
The Symposium focused on the complementarity between the 1980 Hague Child Abduction and 1996 Hague Protection of Children Convention. It additionally provided a forum for Central Authority delegates,Family Court judges, professors, and legal practitioners from Asia-Pacificcountries to share experiences and exchange views on the implementation of the1980 Hague Child Abduction Convention and (where applicable) the 1996Protection of Children Convention in their jurisdictions.
