The Civil Code of the People's Republic of Chinahas come into force as of January 1, 2021, simultaneously repealing theMarriage Law, the Succession Law, the General Principles of the Civil Law,the Adoption Law, the Security Law, the Contract Law, the Real Right Law, theTort Law and the General Rules of the Civil Law. This Code consists of 7parts, including General Principles, Real Rights, Contracts, PersonalityRights, Marriage and Family, Inheritance, and Liability of Tort, in that order.
